Richtervorstellung für unseren 2. Franken Cup

Richtervorstellung Paul David Toal
Based in the rural landscape of Ireland, I am a seasoned dog trainer, competitor and judge with a passion for retriever excellence. With four Irish Field Trial Champions (FTCH) to my name and a track record of numerous wins and placements in trials and tests, my dedication to the sport runs deep. As an ‚A‘ panel judge with the Irish Kennel Club, I have had the privilege of officiating at prestigious events, both in Ireland and across the continent. Events which include the Irish and Swedish (Jaktkretrieverklubben) Championship and the European Championship.
I and my fellow judges look forward to working with you all in the near future as we plan an exciting retriever event at FrankeN Cup.
Yours in sport.

Richtervorstellung Maarit Saarinen
Hello everyone.
My big passion for over 30 years has been animals and dogs – especially Retrievers. I started training animals at a very young age and in 2005 the emphasis shifted to Retrievers and at the same time I started breeding Labrador Retrievers under the name Middle River’s kennel.
I had been the judge in Retriever Working Test since 2018 and am currently also the Retriever Field Trial Judge.
As a judge, I value the dog’s style of working (speed does not always tell the whole truth), dogs ability to find game and how strong it works for its owner even in challenging grounds. The dog must be a persistent hunter with the right amount of self-confidence, independent work and it works in good cooperation with its owner. I like dogs that, despite their cheerful open nature, are calm and precise in their attitude.
When I judging, I look at the dog’s work as a whole, judging with appreciation for the dog, not looking for faults. The path of a good judge should also include training with your own dog, at every level and of course competing. I have had the honor of training and owning Labrador retrievers and I have made five of my own dogs a working champion and one was above the others, achieving the tittle of C.I.T Field Trial champion. Training and participating in trials with your own dog gives a humane and broad picture of the entire retriever trials and working. So I think the judge should also act as a judge in the trials herself, so that he can be a good judge himself. So this path of learning never ends.
I look forward to seeing you with your dogs and have a nice Working test.
